ulalume3@97 8 The Single Calculus Chain (SCC) is the standard EARLINET tool to perform

ulalume3@97 16 Whenever an input file containing raw lidar data has been submitted to
ulalume3@97 17 the SCC ELPP is automatically ran on it. The ELPP module pre-processes
ulalume3@97 18 the raw data performing all the corrections and data handling needed
ulalume3@97 19 before the optical retrieval algorithms can be applied by ELDA module.
ulalume3@97 20 The ELPP output files contain pre-processed range corrected signals
ulalume3@97 21 corrected for instrumental effects as well as atmospheric molecular
ulalume3@97 22 parameters calculated from standard model or radiosounding. Typically,
ulalume3@97 23 the vertical and temporal resolutions of the pre-processed signals
ulalume3@97 24 included in these files is lower than the raw vertical and temporal
ulalume3@97 25 resolution as in general time/vertical integration is performed by ELPP
ulalume3@97 26 to increase the SNR and allow the calculation of optical products with a
ulalume3@97 27 reduced uncertainties. As a consequence the ELPP output files are called
ulalume3@97 28 Low Resolution SCC L1 Products. Another SCC module (HiRELPP – High
